What’s Your Purpose?

I took this piece out of a blog I saw because it speaks to the question of what’s important to you and what your life’s purpose is–The most important questions you can ask yourself, I think.

So? What really makes you tick? You can be just about anything you always wanted to be, but if you approach what really makes you tick with the feeling that it’s not possible to attain you are already blocking your way and giving up before you even start that journey. Always remember, that self-improvement is not just about the physical or philosophical change you have to undergo, but it’s something that you really want.

When you are feeling as if life is drifting away, or you are feeling a lack of direction then discovering what makes you tick, what motivates you to achieve and what you want for yourself and your life is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.

Allow time to answer these questions, give yourself a few hours and if the answer does not immediately present itself then keep asking the question until it does. You will usually find that eventually your unconscious mind will step forward with the answer.

On a course run by Landmark Education they ask, “What is your impossible promise?” think about that. What goal could you have that is SO HUGE it would not be achieved in your lifetime but would leave a legacy that others could continue? If like me you aspire for something deeper and more meaningful, then there are questions you can ask yourself to discover what you truly want.

Our problems, or challenges if you prefer, do not have to hinder us to becoming all we can be if we are willing to work on stepping past or breaking through them. Your child hood aspirations are still buried deep within you and a few questions and some deep thought later you may find that in fact you have still held on to the dream. These questions can support you in reconnecting with that dream if that is your desire, or creating a new one.
